What is a nurse coach?
A nurse coach is still a registered nurse, but they work in a non‑clinical, coaching capacity focused on lifestyle, behavior change, and whole‑person wellbeing. A nurse coach is an RN who receives additional training in coaching methods, communication, and supporting behavioral change towards personal growth, and sustainable lifestyle change emphasizing nutrition, exercise, stress reduction, and resilience. Clients and Nurse coaches enter into a collaborative relationship where the nurse is the facilitator and supporter of the client's behavior change and goals. Nurse coaches do not diagnose, treat, or provide medical interventions. They use their nursing background to guide clients toward healthier choices.
What does a mental health coach do?
A mental health coach helps individuals build emotional resilience, navigate life’s challenges, reduce stress, and develop practical tools for personal growth. While not a substitute for therapy, mental health coaching offers a forward-focused partnership rooted in compassion, clarity, and transformation.
Can Reclaimed Wellbeing give me medical advice?
No. Reclaimed Wellbeing is not intended to be a substitute for professional advice by legal, medical, medical nutrition, psychological, financial, business, spiritual or other matters. Reclaimed Wellbeing does not give medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and is not a substitute for professional medical care.
Is Reclaimed Wellbeing a type of counseling?
No, we are not a substitute for counseling, nor do we advocate to utilize our services instead of a counselors' services or any other service other than health and wellness coaching. Health coaching is not therapy. Where therapy brings understanding and awareness of the past to a client, coaching provides the support and strategy to make changes based on the awareness a client holds. Health coaching concentrates primarily on the present and future, not on the past.
